All exams are interpreted by Commonwealth Radiology. All Commonwealth Radiology physicians are board certified by the American Board of Radiology, including individuals with subspecialty training and expertise in abdominal imaging, mammography, musculoskeletal imaging, neuroradiology, nuclear medicine, pediatric radiology and vascular interventional radiology.

Dr. Robert Beskin
  • Graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine and went on to complete a surgical internship at the Medical University of South Carolina, a diagnostic radiology residency at the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation and a neuroradiology fellowship at the University of Virginia.
  • Board certified by the American Board of Radiology, has earned a Certificate of Additional Qualification in Neuroradiology and is a senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology.

Dr. Namit Mahajan
  • graduated from the Saint Louis University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO. He completed an Internal Medicine internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Milwaukee, WI, a Diagnostic Radiology residency at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood, IL, and his Interventional Radiology Fellowship at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital.

  • Special interests include interventional radiology which include treatment of uterine fibroid embolization, treatment of metastatic and primary tumors with catheter directed therapy (includingYttrium-90, tumor ablations, chemo embolization), and treatment for vertebral compression fractures.

Dr. Christian Shield
  • Graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University as the first combined degree recipient with a Medical Doctor/Master of Health Administration. He completed an internship in internal medicine and trained for two years in radiation oncology at VCU. He then transferred to Wake Forest University in North Carolina where he completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and remained to complete a fellowship in breast imaging. 
  • He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. 
  • His special interests include breast imaging including mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MR and breast interventional procedures.
